A Social Sketchup is an interactive portrait party designed to connect and uplift! We can deliver them in any setting and location, and they’re suitable for all ages and levels of experience.
Ideal for wellbeing weeks, INSET days, team building and/or the festive season!
other workshops available:
FEELGOOD ZINES
Make a mini magazine in just 60 minutes! After a fun introduction to the art of zine-making, you’ll spend the rest of the session making an 8 page zine on a theme of your choice.
The Art of Self-Love
A fun introduction to self-portraiture as as form of self-care - how it can help us to hone our creativity and change the way we see and feel about ourselves for the better.
BESPOKE WORKSHOPS & COmmissions
Are you running a special event, Arts festival or wellbeing initiative? Do you have something specific in mind, or want to explore what we could bring to the mix? We’d be more than happy to discuss and devise something special to suit your needs.
Whatever the theme or topic, the core aim of all our workshops is to highlight and activate the mental health benefits of drawing. We are happy to present and talk about the life-enriching power of sketching and creative play, but we believe the best way to demonstrate this is to experience it for yourself - so we can guarantee you a lively and empowering creative experience!

AWAY DAYS
We’ve teamed up with SKETCHNOTES UK to offer you the ultimate away day package!
Planning a team or company away day is a job in itself, so let us take care of the facilitation, the fun and even the note-taking! We’ll be joined by a professional Sketchnoter who will listen in and capture all the salient points of the day, in digital sketchnotes that will be yours to keep afterwards. We know that your agenda is likely to be packed, so we will work with you to suggest the best times to break it up with fun creative play! Alternatively, we can leave you to the ‘serious bits’ and just provide creative intermissions.
What sort of activities could it involve?
We’d definitely want to include a taste of our signature ‘Social Sketchup’ experience! This is a fun and interactive session where everyone gets a chance to draw and be drawn, and keep their (business card-sized) portraits at the end. We use easy creative ‘hacks’ to make it easy for all levels - including people who think they “can’t draw”! It’s a great way to boost creativity, bond and create lasting memories - and artwork - with your team! We recommend 60 minutes would be a good length in this context.
In addition, we can deliver fun warm-up exercises, collaborative tasks and other quick drawing games along the way.
(E.g. exquisite corpse game & drawing disco below!)
Could you come up with creative ways for us to address and explore agenda topics?
Absolutely! The beauty of our methodologies and activities is that they can be flipped and adapted for any context or sector. With vast experience planning and participating in away days in her former career in brand marketing, Dulcie will work with you to create bespoke, inclusive activities that meet both the objectives of your day and the needs of ALL your employees.
Making zines on a specific theme or issue is a great way to empower everyone in the room to contribute and create something personal and meaningful - something that will stick around for longer than a load of post-it notes! Perhaps you want to revisit and articulate your mission, explore and discuss a topic like neurodiversity, increase internal understanding of your brand, or encourage your team to get to know each other - and themselves - a little bit more. Zine-making is a great group activity that provides opportunity for people to have open discussions, share ideas and perspectives, and express their individuality.
Away days are a time for reflection and future-planning - and both of these things are great to visualise/draw out! Our visual goal-setting and reflection activities last around 60 minutes.
Are activities accessible for all levels?
Absolutely! We make it easy and fun for people of all levels of experience. We’re used to working with people who insist they “can’t draw” - it’s always these people who prove themselves wrong! We recognise how ‘scary’ some find the thought of drawing though, so we work with you to ensure you have all the reassuring messages and information you need to brief your team with.
What are these sketchnotes things?
