On a mission to draw more in 2019?
Want to experiment and bring more colour into your artwork - and your life?
Come get creative and join Sketch Appeal for an inspiring 2-day colourfest!
Day One: Sat 26th Jan, 11-5pm
After a quick warm-up, we’ll work our way through a series of fun and easy challenges to produce monochrome images in each colour of the rainbow. We’ll then move on to experiment with different colour combinations and explore the different effects we can create with limited colour palettes.
We’ll draw with coloured pencils, felt pens and paint pens. We’ll draw with 2 colours, 3 colours and then ALL THE COLOURS! And most importantly, we’ll chat, laugh and have LOADS OF FUN along the way!
Day Two: Sun 27th Jan, 11-5pm
Day two will focus on exploring and drawing in the style of different artists renowned for their use and love of colour – including Kusama, Miro and Klee. We’ll also experiment further with other materials, including pastels and coloured inks.
You’ll get to take home a series of A3 ‘inspired by’ illustrations and one large-scale final ‘showstopper’ in the colour/s and style/s of your choice!
NB: These are standalone workshops so don’t worry if you can’t make both dates – though you’ll obviously get double the inspiration if you can make it to both!
Single workshop: £15
Weekend ticket: £25 if booked before 31st December 2018
Activities are suitable for all levels and all materials will be provided, as will free sketchbooks and an endless supply of tea and biscuits!
