WES UP!!!
By popular demand, The Social Sketchup Wesfest is back at Drink Shop & Do!
As before, it'll be a fun and informal night and we'll be sketching our way through a series of easy creative challenges inspired by Wes Anderson’s best-loved films and characters. From group games to solo pieces, activities will be suitable for all levels and include:
Drawing your sketchmates in the style of Wes Anderson characters
A draw this sketchscene in your style challenge
Designing your very own survival kit for an escape to Moonrise Kingdom
Working collaboratively to create a ‘Wonderwall of Wes’ in your sketchbooks
Creating a mini zine or montage featuring your favourite characters, quotes and other best bits!
All materials provided and all levels welcome: just bring your imagination and your love of all things Wes. Fancy dress optional but highly encouraged!

“As soon as I saw a Wes Anderson-themed night - I was in! The set-up was so fun and supportive and everyone was friendly and encouraging. I really enjoyed the format and how it explored so many different approaches to being creative - from sketching quick portraits to curating little stories and scenes.
The materials provided let us explore line and colour through various mediums and materials. It gave me loads of ideas to take into my own practice.
