Inspired the the opening of the ‘Surrealism Beyond Borders’ exhibition at the Tate Modern, we’re revisiting one of our favourite themes - with an optional dress-up prompt! We’d love you to bring or wear an object to be incorporated into your portrait - which could be totally random or inspired by a piece of surrealist art (e.g. you could bring a clock or lobster, inspired by Dali!)
As the title indicates, in this session we’ll be drawing (8 minute) portraits (of each other) with a surreal twist. With surrealism as the prompt, you can forget any pressure to capture each other’s likeness and just enjoy the experiment - look beyond reality and into your imagination!
