It’s time to sketch the rainbow!
Join us for a colour crazy portrait session to celebrate PRIDE month!
In the first half of the session we’ll set some optional prompts that will encourage you to play with a limited colour palette - using just one, two and three colours at a time. If you enjoy that you can carry on - or go full colour and freestyle it in the second half!
Using a limited colour palette is a great way to create unique stylised portraits and build your confidence in using colour. It also takes away the stress of having to choose and change colours all the time, which is very liberating for the indecisive among us!! A lot of us of us also start - or finish - with a black line. This session will encourage you to experiment and mix up your colour palettes - and see if you can ‘survive’ without a black pen!!
As ever, we’ll be drawing 8 minute portraits and you’ll be invited to pose - but not obliged to! No pressure to share your work with the group either. Wear something colourful or neutral - the latter will enable us to work our colour magic on you! :)
Suitable for all levels - beginners very welcome!
