INKTOBER PASSED YOU BY?
Jake Parker’s month-long #INKTOBER challenge has become something of an Instagram phenomenon, with more people taking part than ever before.
If the whole thing has passed you by but you fancy a dabble, then join us for a fun-filled day of creative play and experience the joy of drawing with ink!
After a brief intro chat and look at basic ink techniques, we’ll work together to tackle a series of creative prompts and challenges: some short, some long - some solo and some collaborative.
INK-CASSO: Work collaboratively to create a large-scale scene in the style of Picasso’s Guernica
FACETIME: Draw 50 freaky faces in 15 minutes - one of our signature creative workouts given a spooky twist!
SELFIES: Draw a series of self-portraits in the style of some iconic ‘inkers’ - including Quentin Blake, Tim Burton and Renee Grau
PRET-A-PORTRAIT: Draw A6 portraits of all your fellow sketchmates, and then take a turn to pose while they draw you! (You’ll get to keep your portraits at the end too - bonus!)
By the end of the session you should feel more confident in your creativity, empowered by your output and be buzzing with the joy of social sketching!
Tickets £18 inc. all materials, soft drinks & snacks and a bottle of black ink to take home.
BYO lunch and remember to wear something old - just INK case you get a bit messy!
