Mums! Dads! Carers! Kids!
Sketch your whole family together and join us for a super-special Sketchup to celebrate The Big Draw Festival 2019!
After some fun and easy warm-up challenges, we’ll invite both children and adults to take a turn to pose for the rest of the group to draw, and everyone who does so will get to take home a stack of mini custom portraits at the end!
Please note: This is not a ‘serious art class’ and you will not be taught how to create the ‘perfect’ portrait! It’s about experimenting, exploring and celebrating your creativity: Expect to draw with your left hand, with your right hand, with your eyes closed, in the style of Picasso and more!
Think you ‘can’t draw’? Think again!
If we had a penny for everytime we’ve heard someone say, “my daughter loves drawing but I can’t draw a stick man!”
Here at Sketch Appeal we believe EVERYONE CAN DRAW and have loads of fun while they’re at it: come along to this workshop and we’ll show you how! You’ll soon feel the joy of social sketching alongside your kids and families from accross London - and break through any creative fears you might have.
We are ALL artists and children at heart, so come and unleash your creativity and get ‘down with the kids’ at this fun-filled Family Sketchup!
Open to ages 8+ only
All materials , soft drinks and snacks provided
FREE FOR KIDS - £10 FOR ADULTS
NB: Children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult. Adults must participate and be present for the duration of the session - no excuses! :)
Proceeds from this event will go to Mousetrap Theatre Projects, who are kindly providing us with the workshop space for free. Find out more about the incredible work they do to support low-income London families here.
This event is part of the Big Draw Festival 2019. This year’s festival is themed around wellbeing and the mental health benefits of drawing, a matter very close to our ART! Find out more.
